The Finnish alpine promise claimed a place in the World

Eduard Hallberg took his second consecutive slalom victory in the Alpine Skiing European Cup. He achieved a personal place in the World Cup for the next season.

Winner of Junior World Cup silver in giant slalom last season Eduard Hallberg has been in great shape at the European Cup slalom competitions. The 20-year-old from Sipo won the first European Cup competition of his career a week ago in Kläppen, Sweden. He repeated the trick today in Hafjell, Norway.

Hallberg won Norway by Theodor Bräkken 0.54 seconds and Sweden Fabian Ax Swartz in 0.94 seconds.

The Finnish skier finished third in the slalom cup, and this earned him a personal place in the World Cup next season.

– It’s a shame that there are no more World Cups until this spring. Oh, it would have been great to see “Eddie” running the World Cup, Urheilu’s expert Kalle Palander was eager

In Finland, two slalomers now have personal places in the World Cup, Hallberg and Jesper Pohjolainen.

– It’s a great thing, we have two Finnish places in the World Cup in slalom. Anyone can use the Maakintio place, but at the moment they are the top scorers, Palander said and praised the young Finnish scorer:

– Good calculation from Hallberg, superiority, dominance. Incredibly good-looking calculation!
