Hyundai i20, one of the cars produced in Turkey, will continue to be on the roads with its renewed face this year.

The announcement that we have been waiting for a while from the Hyundai front has finally arrived. As of today, the new Hyundai i20, which was caught on camera in camouflage and we expect to be announced in the middle of this year, stands before us as of today. New color and wheel options will also make a significant difference in the make-up product range, whose first information and detailed photos are shared via official channels. Sporty genes, which we remember from other members such as the recently launched Elantra and Sonata, draw attention in the car. Production of the new i20 will start in the third quarter of 2023 at Hyundai’s factory in Izmit and will then be launched simultaneously in Europe and Turkey.

The first highlights for the new Hyundai i20

In the renewed i20 product range, a more modern face greets us with sportiness. The new shape and pattern of the car’s front bumper, combined with the sporty radiator grille, brings a different mood. This redesigned rear bumper in the product range is accompanied by Z-shaped LED taillights. The newly designed 16 and 17 inch wheels added to the product range with the make-up will also crown these changes. The brand also announced that eight body colors and optional black roof combinations can be preferred in its new product range. In this context, the new Metallic Yellow, Gray and Meta Blue added to the existing colors are among the new features of the facelift i20. At the same time, we see that yellow color is used in some parts of the cockpit to revive the mood of the driver and passengers. In addition, it offers a luggage volume of 352 liters with the rear seats in the upright position. This volume increases to 1,165 liters when the rear seats are folded down.

The new i20 comes with the latest connectivity features that make the in-car experience even easier for passengers. In the entry levels of the family, it is equipped with a standard 4.2 inch LCD screen, USB type-C, second generation eCall based on 4G network and Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates. The facelift model will be optionally available with a 10.25-inch display, 10.25-inch multimedia screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a wireless charger. The renewed model replaces its existing bulbs with LED technology for better interior lighting and gets multi-colored ambient lights. Thus, the i20 can adjust the color of the interior lighting according to the mood of the passengers. On the sound system side, BOSE Premium will be on the list in the upper packages.

One of the most important parts of the updates is on the hardware side. Hyundai Smart Sense security features are also now standard. Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) now includes cyclists. FCA helps detect and avoid potential accidents by sensing the distance to vehicles in front. Lane Keeping Assist (LFA) ensures that the vehicle stays in the current lane. Rear Cross Traffic Assist (RCCA) automatically applies the brakes when reversing out of a parking space when it detects a potential risk of collision with vehicles behind or to the side. Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) uses visual alerts that appear in the rear view mirrors when a vehicle is detected in the right or left lane. Navigation-based Intelligent Cruise Control (NSCC) uses the vehicle’s navigation system to predict bends or straights on highways and adjusts speed for safer driving.
