On Tuesday, the EU announced that it was planning to strengthen Europoli of the Law Enforcement Agency.

The European Commission wants to double the number of Europol staff and convert the Agency into a “truly operational” unit that investigates cross -border cases and organized crime.

– We propose that Europoli will make the creator of European security by doubling the agency’s number of staff, strengthening its mandate and improving its effectiveness, EU Commissioner on Indoor Affairs Magnus Brunner Comment.

Europol currently has over 1,400 employees. Its mission is to support Union Member States in the fight against serious international crime, cybercrime and terrorism.
