The English fund iCON Infrastructure acquires the ski slopes of

(Finance) – iCON Infrastructure, an investment fund manager with approximately $ 5 billion in assets under management, has reached an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of Sestrieres SpA by its current shareholders Pubbli-Gest SpA and ABCSrl Founded in 1931 and based in Sestriere in Piedmont, the company manages one of the largest ski areas in the European Alps, with 47 ski lifts (partly owned and partly through concessions to long term) and 305 km of ski slopes. The transaction has an equivalent value of 90 million euros.

Among the objectives announced by the English fund are: the commitment to develop and further renovate the infrastructure Vialattea ski area, with planned investments of over 30 million euros; further investments in digitization and in commercial strategies; the development of business partnerships to support the valley’s hospitality offer and continue to attract national and international tourism.
