Driving an electric car is becoming increasingly easier, largely thanks to faster charging and a more extensive charging network. Range anxiety is thus also less and less of a problem.
However, good range is still an appreciated feature in an electric car. Here is the electric car with the longest range on the market, as well as some alternatives.

The Mercedes EQS has been at the top in terms of range since it arrived in 2021, and now the model has just been updated which improves the situation.
For the rear-wheel drive version EQS 450+, the range is now a full 821 kilometers, with a new battery of 110 kWh.

The four-wheel drive version EQS 450 4Matic comes 799 kilometers, which is no shame either.
The price tag is a bit north of SEK 1 million.

Under SEK 500,000
If you are not quite so well-off, but still want a good electric car with a reasonable range, there are still good alternatives on the market.
At the end of last year, Tesla updated its bestseller Model 3, and recently it lowered the price of the basic rear-wheel drive version to just under 500,000 kroner.

The range of this basic version is 513 kilometers. There are more electric cars in the same price range with a similar range. The new Peugeot e-3008, for example, has a range of 525 kilometers, which is slightly longer.
However, the Tesla has the advantage of really good charging, and that weighs heavily when you’re going a long way.

If you like the idea of a luxury Mercedes with a long range, but prefer an SUV over a large sedan, there is an alternative in the form of the Mercedes EQS SUV.

Here, too, the model version with the longest range is called the 450+, and it gets 634 miles on a charge. The fact that seven seats are available on the menu is also an advantage.

The new Citroën ë-C3, which is a small SUV with a range of a good 320 kilometres, will arrive in the summer.
The price tag has been confirmed to be SEK 299,900 in Sweden.
