The easy way to sparkling bathroom grouts – without white

These ingredients are magical, they restore whiteness to your dirty bathroom grouts, without having to use harmful products like bleach.

Bathroom tile grouts, exposed to moisture and dirt on a daily basis, can quickly become dirty and blackened within weeks, giving your space an unattractive appearance. Who wants to take a shower in a bathroom with completely blackened grout? If you don’t take care of it, moisture will seep into it, and shampoo and shower gel will accumulate on it, leading to the appearance of unpleasant mold and blackening of the joints. This is particularly the case in showers.

You can of course use bleach or white vinegar to clean the joints. These products are very effective and provide good results. However, both are corrosive, so while they can bleach stains, they can also do more damage than good in the long run. There is another simple and equally effective method to restore whiteness to your joints.

All you need is three products: hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dishwashing liquid (optional) and an old toothbrush. Hydrogen peroxide is a versatile, colorless liquid that quickly neutralizes bacteria and germs. It whitens surfaces without leaving toxic residue like bleach, making it a reliable cleaning agent.

This method is very simple. Pour a good dose of each ingredient onto the blackened tile grout in your shower. Do not mix them before applying them. Using a special joint brush, or an old toothbrush, rub the products to distribute them evenly over your joints. Then let the products act and foam for 10 to 15 minutes so that they penetrate well into the dirt. All you have to do is scrub with the brush and rinse, directly with the shower head.

Hydrogen peroxide deserves to be better known for home maintenance. You can buy a bottle, you will use it, that’s for sure! It can be used to clean a mirror without leaving marks, remove stubborn stains of blood or perspiration, clean the fridge, but also disinfect your toothbrushes, wash sponges that are starting to smell bad or even remove dust mites from the mattress. A real all-purpose product!
