The doctor’s answer about boffing: “Short-term intoxication linked to very high risks”

Boffing is inhaling different types of gases. For example, propellants found in various sprays. The school and region have issued warnings about the dangerous effects and urge parents to be alert.

– Propellant gas, such as butane and propane mixtures, is clearly more dangerous than, for example, nitrous oxide. Even with occasional use, you can get very serious symptoms, says Region Norrbotten’s division manager, Moa Bjerner.

“Social responsibility”

On Friday, Luleå Municipality called a press conference together with the police to tell about how they are taking their work further. Moa Bjerner, talks about the importance of getting young people to understand how dangerous it is.

– It is a social responsibility that we need to work with. We need to think “How can we overcome this together”, she says and continues:

– It is life-threatening and it is our children. They are so young who are doing this.

In the clip, the division manager, who is basically a doctor, answers three questions about the life-threatening trend.
