More and more people are starting to move away from the traditional Christmas table and try new dishes. Nine out of ten northerners will make some change to this year’s Christmas table, according to a survey conducted by HelloFresh and KantarSifo.

Despite that, many people seem to be looking for the usual Christmas ham, meatballs and herring at the grocery store in Umeå.

– This year it will probably be quite classic, we will celebrate in several different places but the Christmas table is the same, says Frida Jonsson.

One who ventures into a different ingredient is Anna Tedebring Thysell.

– I’m going to buy smoked salmon fins for my father, but it can be a bit difficult to get hold of, she says.
