According to the news published by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the city in question will be built in Bastrop County, which is located near the state city of Austin.

It is claimed that the city, whose foundation is planned to be laid in the area next to the Boring and SpaceX facilities, which are under construction, will allow employees at Musk’s companies to move into new homes with below-market rental fees.
Texas law requires at least 201 people to live in that district before an application can be made for a district to be considered a city. After this process, approval is obtained from the district judge.
In a statement from an official from the Bastrop County region, it was noted that no applications have yet been received from Musk or any organization he owns. (AA)
