The task force attacked a couple in Västerås after the man chatted with gangs.
Then their suspected double life was revealed.
Great finds were made in maple compartments in the wall, in pineapple cans and under the balcony – drugs and weapons believed to have been sold to criminals for a long time.
The police became suspicious of the man, who is in his 30s, after a shooting in Sollentuna north of Stockholm. In chats it emerged that he had written with the gang criminals and handed over one of the weapons used in the crime.
The task force was going to arrest him for that crime and planned a raid. But when on September 28 they entered the villa where he lived with his wife, also in her 30s, large quantities of narcotics, weapons and ammunition were found instead.
The finds were made, among other things, in hidden spaces in walls and above the pantry, in cans for pineapples, in the freezer and around the house and under the balcony.
According to the prosecutor, some of the weapons are “of a particularly dangerous nature”. It is also about a “very large amount of live ammunition that has been intended to be handed over and that the possession took place in a criminal environment where the weapons and ammunition could be feared to be used criminally.”

Suspected of dealing in trade
The pair were charged earlier this week with doping offences, serious drug offenses and particularly serious weapons offences. The man in his 30s is also suspected of aggravated money laundering, violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, drug offenses and aggravated weapons offenses following additional findings in a summer house that is not connected to the wife. The woman is also on trial for money laundering.
The prosecutor states that the couple, on the side of villa life, sold the weapons and drugs and that parts of the finds in the villa were also to be sold. Something that is believed to have been going on for a long time.
The man is suspected of having received SEK 1,340,000 from “criminal activity” in his accounts and the woman a total of SEK 237,610.

The couple denies wrongdoing. The woman claims that she did not know that the man sold weapons and drugs. The man, in turn, has given explanations that, among other things, he was forced to store the objects.
