The couple humiliated and tortured young children

The two small children, who according to TV4 Nyhetern’s data are of preschool age, were taken to hospital on May 2 this year. Both were injured and one of them was described as dizzy, nauseous, confused, hungry, carried away and unable to stand up on his own.

The man and the woman are now being charged, suspected of, among other things, kidnapping and extremely serious assault.

Because the two victims, and also additional children in the same home, saw the crimes, the couple is also charged with four counts of child welfare violations, which means that minors witness, for example, violence against relatives.

Taped in “painful positions”

According to the prosecutor, the man and woman locked the children in and tortured and humiliated them in various ways. Among other things, one is said to have been taped and tied with cords “in painful positions” and subjected to repeated violence, both with and without attachment.

According to the indictment, one of the children also allegedly had a cut on one of their fingers and had an object forced into their mouth. Both children are said to have been showered with “very cold” water and forced to eat by force.

The prosecutor writes in the lawsuit that the assault is classified as extremely serious because it was against “a small defenseless child” and that the couple “showed extreme recklessness”.

The couple filmed

One of the prosecution’s strongest pieces of evidence, which will be used at the six-day trial later in October, are videos and photos the couple took themselves when the victims were subjected to the barbaric acts.

A series of witnesses will also tell what they saw and heard about the two small children. Among other things, that relatives were not allowed to meet the victims during the crime period, which is from April to May, that they did not attend preschool and what injuries were documented – both physical and psychological.

Woman: I feel guilty

The police forensics technician has also found blood on the strings and tape that were in the storage room and in the garage in their shared house in Västmanland County.

The woman denies any crime, but in a letter in custody she has written that she has “guilt every day and feels so bad about everything that happened.” The man has an “unclear attitude” to the suspicions.

The indictment states that the children “suffer from what they were exposed to” to this day.
