The connector incarnate from Zeist is leaving three colleagues about

Koos Janssen announced his departure as mayor of Zeist today. He will retire early next year, when his third term in office ends. Janssen will then be 68 years old.

“It goes without saying that I will continue to dedicate myself with heart and soul to Zeist society in the coming ten months. Together with the council members, the council, employees and residents of the municipality of Zeist. I look forward to that,” he says.

RTV Utrecht called three of his colleagues about the upcoming departure: Marcel Fluitman (former alderman and party chairman of the CDA), Dick van Ginkel (council member D66 and deputy chairman of the city council) and Roel van Nieuwstadt (group chairman of GroenLinks). They are united: all three allow him to leave, but they also see it as a great loss for Zeist.
