The climate minister’s criticism of Busch: “KD knows what they signed”

Within the EU, Sweden has committed to greatly reduce its emissions, in transport and agriculture among other things, by 2030 – they must decrease by 50 percent compared to 2005 levels.

But it is not certain that Sweden will reach those goals. In the government’s budget proposal from last autumn, for example, it is assessed that the targets will not be reached.

“Know what you signed”

And when Ebba Busch (KD) was a guest on SVT’s 30 minutes, she said that it is too early to say whether the goals will be reached, that you should now “do your homework” and produce investigations.

Climate Minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L) does not agree.

– The Christian Democrats have signed an agreement with us that Sweden must live up to the ESR commitment, she says in SVT’s 30 minutes.

The minister sure that the goals will be reached

You disagree on this?

– We agree that we will manage this. I am convinced that the Christian Democrats know what they have signed in this agreement, and that we work together in that direction, says Romina Pourmokhtari.

Romina Pourmokhtari is sure that all parties will live up to the agreements made, including reaching the EU’s climate goals by 2030.

– I am convinced that Ebba Busch is also aware of it, she says.

Watch 30 minutes on SVT Play Thursday 19.30, or on SVT 2 at 22.00.
