A 3D image of the ship, which crashed into an iceberg in April 1912 and was buried at a depth of 3,800 meters in the Atlantic Ocean, was created.

Images taken last year by the mapping company Magellan and the documentary company Atlantic Productions, created by combining 700,000 photos, are expected to reveal new information about the accident.

Gerhard Seiffert, who led the study, said in a statement that this is the largest underwater dredging project he has ever undertaken. Seiffert said, “The wreckage is almost 4,000 meters deep, which represents a challenge. At the same time, there is current in the area and you don’t touch anything to avoid damaging the wreckage,” said Seiffert.
