The Cedermark road was inaugurated in Älvros

– It’s great fun and honouring, said son Anders who, together with his older brother Toni, cut the string that symbolically opened the road.

Started playing the accordion at the age of five

Cedermark’s road passes the farm where Roland Cedermark grew up and where he started playing the accordion as a five-year-old.

Roland Cedermark was conductor in Cedermark’s own orchestra before his solo career took off.

Put Älvros on the map

His way of handling the bellows was special, like accordion rock. First solo record “Lady be good” came in 1976.

– Roland Cedermark has really put Älvros on the map, said Yngve Persson from Hembygdsföreningen, who took the initiative for Cedermark’s path.

On Christmas Eve, it will be three years since the accordion player Roland Cedermark passed away, aged 82.
