The car king von Koenigsegg is Swedens best entrepreneur

The audit firm Ernst & Young appointed on Thursday evening Christian von Koenigsegg to Sweden’s foremost entrepreneur.

The prize was awarded in the Blue Hall in Stockholm City Hall, and von Koenigsegg now has the opportunity to take home the global victory in EY Entrepreneur of the Year.

The award is one of the finest that an entrepreneur can win, and is awarded in Monaco.

Koenigsegg is praised for its endurance

The jury’s reasoning for its choice of Christian von Koenigsegg as the Swedish winner of EY Entrepreneur of the Year read:

“With a unique perseverance, patience and ability to look into the future, the award winner – despite a lack of both experience and start-up capital – has shown the strongest of wills. Despite some setbacks, challenges and ups and downs along the way, our awardee has stayed on course, and today the journey forward is more stable and straighter than ever before. With a burning interest in his product and a strong belief in “making the impossible possible”, the entrepreneur has created an innovative niche in an industry dominated by large, global giants. The brand today attracts employees from all over the world to the factory. With the motto “NO fear of failure” there is nothing that can stop this entrepreneur’s progress.”

Not the only prize of the evening

The main focus during the evening in the town hall was the awarding of the Swedish EY Entrepreneur of the Year award, but prizes were also awarded in three other classes.

One of these prizes went to the founder of another company linked to the car industry, namely Tobias Ericson at Tershine AB, which manufactures car care products.

The Entrepreneurial Winning Women award went to Julia Haglöf, who is CEO of Sacci AB, which develops various types of berry products.

The Best International Growth prize was awarded by SEB and went to Carl Hörberg, who is CEO and founder of the cloud service company 84codes AB.
