– Now it’s time to tell me a little more about my health. I find it important both for myself and for those who are interested in my well-being, Jalvanti writes.

A year ago, Jalvanti received a star in his trough, as a result of which he was left out of the games for more than two months. Jalvanti was able to return to the fields, but in the summer, the symptoms of the injury began again.

– I trained and played normally, but headaches were more common all the time. In September, I woke up to the fact that my mood had fallen. October came against the wall and I simply could no longer practice. I went to see a psychiatrist, and since then I have been on sick leave due to depression, Jalvanti says.

Jalvanti has recently started a calm workout, but the headache symptoms still plague. The next few weeks will see if the Pelicans captain will be able to return to the trough this season.

– My mood has gone in a better direction, but the journey is still in progress. It’s been great to see that my passion for hockey hasn’t gone anywhere, Jalvanti says.

Jalvanti had time to play ten Finnish Championship matches in the early part of the season. Pelicans are currently tenth in the league table.
