Every year, Swedish building materials trade brings in huge amounts of money from the sale of everything from wood and paint to home furnishings.
News24 has taken a look at five major construction trade companies to see who is doing best. The list reports best to worst results from the latest reported data for All companies in 2022 and 2023.

1. Beijer Building Materials
The company reported a turnover of a breathtaking 10.3 billion in 2023, according to All companies. In addition, they also had assets that amounted to SEK 6.2 billion and a result after net assets of SEK 411 million.

According to All companies figures from 2022, BYGGmax had a turnover of a whopping SEK 6.1 billion. They also had assets of SEK 2.2 billion and reported a profit after financial net of SEK 372.6 million.

K-Bygg or as it was previously known as, K-Rauta, had a turnover in 2022 of SEK 3.1 billion, assets of SEK 1.9 billion and a profit after financial net of SEK 154.2 million, according to All companies latest figures from 2022.

4. Hornbach
The German company Hornbach had a turnover of SEK 2.5 billion in 2022. They also had assets of 847 million. On the other hand, they reported a result after net financial items of minus 72.3 million.

The Swedish building trade company Bygghemma reported according to All companies a turnover of 2 billion in 2022. During the same period, the company’s assets amounted to 2.3 billion. But when it came to the result after net financial items, the company stood at minus SEK 225.2 million.
