The Boys star Karl Urban scared his colleague to death

Apparently, The Boys doesn’t just test the viewer’s load limits. The Amazon series known for gory and lewd scenes about unscrupulous superheroes and their avengers sometimes frightens their stars to death. This is what happened to Jack Quaid, who feared for his life during the Season 2 shoot. Blame it on co-star Karl Urban.

The Boys star Karl Urban caused his colleague to panic

The Butcher actor told Entertainment Tonight.

Since [Staffel 2] Jack Quaid is scared to death of boats. [Serien-Schöpfer] Eric Kripke put him on a speedboat I was driving for a scene. We were going fast and really jumping over the waves. Jack just grew up in Hollywood. His security code word was “Karl”. At some point he just screamed “Karl! Karl! Karl!” But I didn’t hear him. [Und danach] he was as white as a bed sheet.

This is a memorable season 2 scene where the heroes escape from a helicopter by boat and collide with a whale. Since Urban apparently had experience with boats, Kripke let him drive instead of a professional driver. A fact that may not have contributed to Quaid’s sense of security.
