The boat accident in Thailand broken Emanuel’s arm: “Thought I would die”

The crew cried to the tourists to get out of the boat as it became more water -filled. Emanuel Eliason jumped over a table, but the boat drove in his direction. He was sucked down under the water and stuck in the boat’s propeller.

– I felt a thump in my forearm. Then I look at it and see that it is torn, he says.

“Some sadness, but most gratitude”

Sambon Lina helped him up ashore. There he was helped by a touristy Swedish doctor who wrapped his arm so that he did not bleed.

Eleven hours later he was operated on in Bangkok. He woke up with 150 stitches and an arm that lost both feeling and mobility.

– It is clear that there is some sadness, but mostly it is gratitude that I have been given a chance to live on, says Emanuel Eliason.

Prompts tourists to question

Emanuel does not think that one should skip the adventure on holiday, but still wants to encourage to have the critical thinking with him.

– Question and make a requirement that security is there, says Emanuel Eliason, and believes that the boat’s crew would have stopped the journey due to the bad weather.
