Ultra brutal FSK 18 horror will soon disturb German audiences
This emerges from a press release available to Moviepilot. Accordingly, the bloody horror film will start in selected German cinemas on December 8, 2022. Apparently, the theatrical version has received an FSK 18 rating and will be shown on screen in all its glory.
Many German fans had not assumed that the film would be released in cinemas due to the level of violence. Already the first Terrifier muted viewers with the minutes-long mutilation and killing of the victims a lot and did not receive a youth release in this country.
Director Damien Leone has already explained that with his films he wants to expand the potential for depicting violence in films, which is limited by Hollywood. “You can only divide a person in a limited way“, he told SFX (quoted here from Gamesradar).
