The biggest German streamer was away for 8 months – reveals what it looks like financially

Until her break in 2023, Antonia “Reved” Staab was the biggest streamer on German Twitch. Now she was officially streaming again and also talked about where the money comes from if you can no longer stream as a full-time streamer.

What was going on at Reved? Reved announced an indefinite streaming hiatus in August 2023. She reported health problems that she had been suffering from for a long time. She finally wanted to tackle this in peace.

Since then, the streamer has only been seen on her Twitch channel on one special occasion, to host her stream awards – and to shower Papaplatte with prizes. Fans of Reved must have been amazed when they discovered their stream last Sunday – is this the comeback they’ve been longing for?

With a week-long streaming marathon, Reved was back in top form before their break.

Spontaneous stream in front of 20,000 viewers

What kind of stream was that? On April 14, 2024, Reved spontaneously started the stream. She explained that a recording of the “Dumbest Flies” format was planned that day. When she was sitting at the PC, she thought that she could actually stream – perhaps she got a taste for it through her secret comeback.

The streamer admitted that she was previously unsure about such spontaneous streams, but she has now tried it out.

How did that go? Contrary to Reved’s worries, the spontaneous stream went really well. Although she only announced the stream about two hours in advance, up to 27,000 fans tuned in, with an average of 19,800 viewers at the start – for comparison: before her break, Reved streamed in front of an average of 6,000 to 8,000 fans (via SullyGnome).

Where does the money come from if you can no longer stream?

In her stream, Reved also spoke briefly about her financial situation, as an important source of income has been lost with the streaming break. Although she says it “works”, she also admits that she is happy that she saved diligently.

Her income currently consists exclusively of YouTube and placement – due to her long break, she currently has no advertising partners for her streams. YouTube is doing well and she can pay for everything, Reved assures us, but it doesn’t compare to her income last year.

In this context, the streamer also says that she is separating from an employee. Twitch colleague HandOfBlood also recently reported on the responsibility when you suddenly have to pay salaries as a content creator.

Reved gives an update on her health

How is the streamer? Reved then used the hour until the start of “The Dumbest Flies” to bring her viewers up to date. She also talks about the headaches that she has been suffering from for over 3 years. She is not yet at the point where she wants to be.

For this reason, there won’t be regular streams from Reved again for the time being – she doesn’t want to expose herself to that pressure. Due to upcoming doctor’s appointments, she will be in Germany on a weekly basis in the near future and would not be able to stream normally during this time.

She isn’t quite sure what to do next. Reved makes it clear that she doesn’t want to make any promises at the moment, she simply can’t keep them. However, there will be occasional spontaneous streams again in the future if she is planning recordings for her formats anyway.
