The best most beautiful and healthiest thing in winter was

We thought feverishly about how to get children and young people to exercise sufficiently. Even those who have worn beanies know the answer, writes journalist Jussi Paasi.

For example, you can find inspiration for beanies from Puhe’s Ice Hockey Tour.

I watched an NHL game on TV last Monday. There were two top teams from the world’s best ice hockey league facing each other.

However, the game between Boston and Pittsburgh was rather dull in terms of hockey. In the winter classic held at the baseball stadium, it was the non-game stuff that stole the show. The audience was offered everything possible, from the national anthem to the overflight of fighter jets.

Fortunately, something exciting happened during the break.

A familiar figure appeared on the screen: Top Nättinen, a hockey player who ended his career in the second season. Nättinen was outside with the camera.

I have gotten to know Nättine over the past year and a half. The former top ice hockey player now works as an expert on Puhe’s Ice Hockey Tour. I get the honor of hosting that radio classic.

Nättinen played a beanie in the TV clip he filmed. Your tail. Alone.

That was all. A man (Top’s role could have been a woman, a boy or a girl, of course), a puck, skates, a stick and ice. The rink’s sides and goals are also a plus, but you can do really well without them.

Nättinen looked into the camera and said that he never got the same feeling as here in his playing career. Outside, in a bean bag.

I knew what Nättinen was talking about, even though I have never played a league game in my life.

Numerous ice hockey players, like Nättinen, have said that they acquired the most significant skills of their careers on outdoor ice.

Nättinen is the junior world champion, model year 2014. Still, he effusively praised the beanie. Its specificity.

I felt a sting in my heart. The year had already changed, and I hadn’t been on the ice during this winter.

An even harder sting was felt when an 11-year-old close relative who was watching the NHL game with me said, “will I get to play pinball once this winter?”

Pipolätkä is the best. In the words of the youth: pipolätkä best. At least in winter. For me, even the best of the whole year when it comes to sports and exercise.

Why?

If you don’t know the answer, you’ve never tried a beanie.

First of all, it is an extremely effective form of exercise. Secondly, it can be done alone, in pairs or even with a group of ten people. The social dimension is deep in pipolätäkä’s DNA.

There is always a game somewhere that you can join. Strangers quickly become familiar. It’s wonderful to watch when small children, middle-aged people and senior citizens twist the puck in perfect harmony.

And then the most important. Pipolätkä is tickling and addicting fun!

We thought feverishly about how to get children and young people to exercise sufficiently. Even those who have worn beanies know the answer. It’s fun. It’s pointless for a teenager to try to trade the joy of exercise with its health.

In addition to all the overflowing beauty, Pipolätkä is also cheap. Valid skates can be bought used. Like the bat. The puck costs a couple of euros. Most municipalities offer free shifts on artificial ice. And natural ice can also be found in the frost, at least for now.

I wasn’t surprised that in addition to Nättinen, the magic of pipolätkä the President of the Republic also recently praised (you will switch to another service) Sauli Niinistö.

I recommend following Niinistö’s style and wearing a helmet instead of a beanie. At least, if no previous experience is found. The species will still remain as a beanie.

And at the same time, I recommend remembering the climate crisis after hanging out. If we don’t take it seriously, the pipolka is also threatened.

I will try to spend the next three months on the ice whenever there is even the slightest chance. After Pipolätkä, the world seems a much more beautiful place.
