The Ameide ferry has been saved by new skippers

She’s been on the same ride since this morning. Lean from Amsterdam, who normally sails in her hometown, is practicing this how-to-sail-on-the-Lek lesson between Lopik and Ameide. It’s going well, she laughs. Perhaps with the exception of “parking”: that turns out to be a problem with today’s wind. “It’s easy to make a turn that is too big or too small. It takes some getting used to, I think.”
