We have compiled a list of the biggest survival MMOs on Steam for you here. We present 5 different games of the genre to you.

What are these games? The games listed all belong to the Survival MMO genre. Titles were selected based on player count to find the biggest games.

According to which criteria was it selected? The following factors were important in the selection:

  • The games must be available on Steam.
  • All games must belong to the Survival MMO genre.
  • They are listed as the most played survival games on the analysis website Steamdb (as of February 24, 2023); we have sorted it out so that only survival MMOs are really singled out

    • We provide you with a game description and a trailer for each survival MMO presented. There is also a pro and con comparison and an indication of who the game could be interesting for.

    There is also a bonus game that is the biggest survival game on Steam in February 2023. However, it only offers 8-player co-op. Despite MMO elements, you don’t have any PvP or fights for building sites here, although friendly fire is always active. Nevertheless, we didn’t want to withhold it from you and included it as a little extra.

    You can expect a survival game with crafting, which also integrates shooter and tower defense elements. On top of that there is a pinch of role-playing, since you can also improve your character and its skills.

    Fight different types of zombies, get to know their attack patterns and behavior better and assemble the perfect apocalypse equipment from weapons, clothing, armor and tools. Drive through the huge game world with multiple biomes and explore the remains of humanity.

    But always remember that I am looking for a safe place for you to spend the night. Because otherwise it can quickly happen that the zombies catch you cold.
