Now the story will be depicted in a new TV series on Netflix.

– It may sound presumptuous, but I really believe that Astrid Lindgren would have liked this series. I’m never 100 percent happy with anything I do, but this is the closest I’ve come, the show’s screenwriter has Hans Rosenfeldt told DN.

“Ronja Rövardotter” premieres on Netflix on March 28, 2024. Six episodes, all of which are roughly 45 minutes long, will then be released simultaneously.
