19-year-old Alica Andersson appears in the season premiere of “Sweden’s Master Chef”.
But it is not the first time we see her in the TV box.
Nine years ago we saw her compete in “Sweden’s youngest master chef”.
– I feel that I have to redo this one more time and make it better, she says.
19-year-old Alica Andersson participated in “Sweden’s youngest master chef” in 2015. Nine years later, she is now testing her wings in the adult edition. In the season premiere of this year’s season of “Sweden’s Master Chef”, we see her doing her utmost to impress the jury and win a place in the competition.
Cooking is then nothing new for Alica. She was 10 years old when she participated in Sweden’s youngest master chef, and now she has had a couple of years to develop her cooking skills.
– I was actually part of Sweden’s youngest master chef and it was so much fun. That’s why I feel that I have to redo this one more time – and make it better, she says in the program.
She gets three yeses from the jury
Although she started in the cooking program for children, the dream has always been to participate in Sweden’s master chef.
– That’s where it started, that we always watched Sweden’s master chef and then we got an advertisement about Sweden’s youngest master chef and I said “I have to be part of this”, says Alica.
She offers the jury consisting of Micha Billing, Tommy Myllymäki and Tom Sjöstedt collared monkfish, to their great delight. There are cheers from everyone – she gets three yeses.
– I’m going to Gävle, I don’t understand anything. I didn’t think so! I’m so excited, Alica howls.
– I got three yeses, do you understand?! she continues.
