Thailand Young Paetongtarn Shinawatra appointed Prime Minister

Paetongtarn Shinawatra was sworn in as head of the Thai government by King Maha Vajiralongkorn on Sunday, August 18. At 37, she becomes the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the kingdom and the third Shinawatra to hold this position after her father Thaksin and her aunt Yingluck, both overthrown by military coups. During her inauguration, she gave a unifying speech.
