Thailand: the appeal of the winner of the elections rejected, towards a new vote of the Parliament

Thailand the appeal of the winner of the elections rejected

The Constitutional Court announced on Wednesday August 16 that it would not examine the appeal of the Move Forward party (MFP). This unanimous decision paves the way for Thailand to emerge from the political stalemate in which it has found itself since the May elections: the official winner from this party, Pita Limjaroenrat, being definitively dismissed, Parliament can, on paper, vote again to choose another head of government next week.
