According to the site Sweden Abroad, which is run by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from Monday all tourists over the age of 18 must present proof of vaccination against covid-19 in order to enter Thailand. The new entry rules must apply throughout January.
For people who are not vaccinated, a special medical certificate is required. Travelers may also need valid insurance, the site says.
Adam Györki, head of communications at the travel company Tui, believes that it will generally not affect travelers from Sweden, as most Swedes are vaccinated against covid-19.
– You need to have taken at least two shots of vaccine. Those who have not been able to take the vaccine for medical reasons need a medical certificate, says Adam Györki.
