Tenniss new superstar does things no one has done before

Carlos Alcaraz won Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in consecutive days at the Madrid Masters,

Carlos Alcarazista can no longer speak as a future superstar. The Spanish, who turned 19 on Thursday, is already one of the brightest stars in the tennis sky. Alcaraz, who advanced to the Madrid Masters final, is already sixth on the world list to be released on Monday.

Alcaraz won in Madrid for consecutive days Rafael Nadalin and Novak Djokovicin. On Saturday, Alcaraz’s winning numbers in the semi-finals against Djokovic were 6-7, 7-5, 7-6.

A surprising number of players have been able to win Nadal and Djokovic in the same tournament over the years, as can be seen from the tweet below. However, no one has ever done it before in a mass field where it is already extremely difficult to defeat Nadal. Alcaraz is also the youngest player to win both in the same race.

Nadal and Djokovic are not at their best. For Nadal, who was sidelined due to a side injury, the Madrid tournament was the first since the Miami Masters in March. Djokovic has played a little this year because, unvaccinated, he hasn’t made it to all the tournaments. However, Djokovic said he played his best tennis in Madrid so far this year.

Anyway, winning them is always a tough accomplishment. The good sign is that Alcaraz comes on to the field believing they will win them.

– Congratulations to him. His nerves lasted really well. He played really mature and bold for his age. He deserved his victory, Djokovic said after 3 hours and 35 minutes of the semi-finals.

Alcaraz have won six matches in a row against top10 opponents. It’s also a strong indication of what level he’s playing at. In total, Alcaraz have won 27 matches this season and lost just three.

As a young player, Alcaraz is physically amazingly strong. His game is spectacular to watch. It includes both really strong basic beats and very soft stops. The world’s best rebounder Djokovic was also in trouble with Alcaraz’s kick passes.

Alcaraz will face the German in the final on Sunday Alexander Zverevin.

Next week ahead is the Roman Masters and a couple of weeks to reach the French Open. The Grand Slam tournament with its best of five matches is a tougher challenge, but the setups look interesting at the moment. Can Alcaraz overthrow the old masters there too?
