An 18-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being shot in Hovsjö in Södertälje. Several people who heard the shots sounded the alarm shortly after midnight, the night before Saturday.
– When the patrol arrives, they find a gunshot wounded person in a parking lot next to a school. He has been taken to hospital by ambulance and the injury situation is unclear, says Anna Westberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
An area believed to be the crime scene is cordoned off and will be investigated by police technicians. During the night, the police have a major operation underway, where, among other things, helicopters and special search dogs have searched the area. The police also interrogate witnesses and go through surveillance footage.
The shooting is being investigated as an attempted murder and no suspect has yet been arrested.
