It was on New Year’s Eve that a teenage girl who was on Storgatan in Tranås got a piece of fireworks in her face. According to the preliminary investigation report, the girl had to undergo eye surgery. The doctors have stated that the optic nerve is completely broken and she will have severe visual impairment or become blind in her right eye.

The evidence includes film sequences from surveillance cameras in central Tranås. There are also several witnesses to the incident.
According to the police’s preliminary investigation, the man must have ignited the firework piece and then thrown it at a crowd. He himself denies any wrongdoing.
In addition to the gross assault, he is also charged with causing danger to another because, according to the prosecutor, he has put several people in danger of life by throwing the fireworks at the crowd.
Tossed fireworks into a candy store
The man is also charged with having thrown a firework piece into a sweets shop in Tranås on 26 December. In that case, the criminal classification is causing danger to others. Here, too, there is a video sequence from a surveillance camera.
The prosecutor demands that the man be deported from Sweden if he is convicted of the crimes for which he is charged.
