Teenage boy shot in the back – two charged

Teenage boy shot in the back two charged

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the back in Eskilstuna last winter. Two men in their 20s are now being prosecuted for attempted murder and aggravated weapon crime, writes Eskilstuna-Kuriren.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of November 20 in the Fröslunda area. The boy had just received a call from his mother who wanted him to come home. But half an hour later he was lying on the ground badly injured with a pistol bullet in the back.

The boy will get but for life.

One of the now accused men came after contact with the police himself to the police station the day after the act. The other was arrested in early December after being pointed out by the 14-year-old’s friend, who was also present at the incident.

The men deny the crime. The motive and whether the 14-year-old was actually the target is unclear.

– However, there is a theory that it may be revenge, says prosecutor Frida Hamberg to Eskilstuna-Kuriren.
