The winner of the Helsinki Horse Show steeplechase world cup was only found out after ten races were repeated.
Swedish Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli celebrated at the Helsinki Horse Show when he won both the 160-cent Grand Trophy raced on Saturday and the World Cup race on Sunday. In both races, Augustsson Zanotelli had Kalinka van de Nachtegaele as his rider.
It was an even battle for the victory in the World Cup competition, as no less than ten riders ended up in the re-run and five of them cleared the re-run cleanly.
However, Augustsson Zanotelli was superior in the race, as he beat the runner-up Germany riding Blues d’Aveline CH by Gerrit Nieberg by more than a second.
Gerrit, on the other hand, went to Germany with a strict decathlon by Janne Meyer-Zimmermannof Ireland of Thomas Ryan and Belgium by Gilles Thomas with. Meyer-Zimmermann took third place.
The Finns were not seen in the top fight, because Jasmin Seppälä was the best with his horse Captain in 27th place. Maiju Mallat finished in 32nd place with E Beliss, Anna-Julia Kontio and Jay Jay van de Mottelhoeve was instead rejected.
