Kristine Stavå’s Skistad wins another sprint race.
In front of the Swedish audience, the Norwegian makes a big impression, while Jonna Sundling and Linn Svahn come second and third.
Now Svahn is closing in heavily on Jessie Diggins in the fight for overall victory at the World Cup.
Lynn Svahn came second in the sprint in the World Cup final in Falun – and is pushing hard Jessie Diggins, USA, in the overall World Cup. Ahead of the last two races of the season, the Swede is 41 points behind the American.

Diggins finished fourth in his quarterfinal and failed to advance on time. The riders do not get any extra points for advancing to the quarter- and semi-finals, but in the qualifiers, Svahn collected twelve new World Cup points after finishing second.

Diggins received no bonus points from qualifying after finishing 21st, and she remains on 46 points, according to Viaplay. Svahn scored 102 points in total and is now 41 points behind the American in total.
Skistad winner
In the final was the Norwegian Kristine Stavå’s Ski City strongest in the race, but Svahn was second. Jonna Sundling was third and Emma Ribom finished fourth.

A victory in the final gave 100 points, the second received 95 points, the third 90, the fourth 85 and so on. The top 50 were scored, as the worst one in number.
Two more competitions now remain in the season: Saturday’s 10 kilometer classic and Sunday’s closing mass start, 20 kilometer freestyle.
In the men’s sprint went Johan Häggström to the final.
