Certainly, the 19-year-old did not manage to repeat last year’s success, when he won JVM gold in the sprint in Canadian Whistler. But given the autumn’s conditions, silver was still positive.
Anton Grahn suffered a stress fracture in October and was off the slopes until the end of December. Instead, he had to train in other ways; stake machine and swimming.

In Slovenia, however, it turned out to be a successful scheme. Grahn, who advanced from the semi-final on time, clinched silver when the sprint final was decided.
The Norwegian Lars Heggen won and Grahn’s national team mate Jonathan Lindberg took bronze.
Erica Lavén was in the final in the women’s sprint but a fall in the first corner ruined her chance for a medal. Gina del RioAndorra, won before the American Samantha Smith and Milla Grosberghaugen Andreassen from Norway.
