Sweden completely overrun by Portugal in Jon Dahl Tomasson’s first match as national team captain

The very first match as Swedish national team captain.
Then Jon Dahl Tomasson got to see Blågult get completely overrun.
Portugal eventually won the practice match with a whopping 5-2.

It took 24 minutes at the Estádio Dom Afonso Henriques in Portuguese Guimarães before the home team broke the deadlock. Then thundered Rafael Leão into the lead goal into the goalkeeper Robin Olsen’s left cross after that Bernardo Silva hit the post.

Nine minutes later, no one stepped up to press against Matheus Nunes, who could easily put in 2–0 at Olsen’s right post. And in the last minute of the half, the Portuguese’s third goal also fell. Bruno Fernandes was completely clean in the Swedish penalty area and could easily send in 3-0 for Portugal, who rested, for example, the superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the 90th minute consolation netted Gustaf Nilsson till 5–2. On Monday, Sweden faces Albania at the Friends arena in Solna.
