The man, who is from the northern part of the county in Västerbotten, has been arrested by Thai police, and is suspected of serious crime, according to the newspaper.
The Foreign Ministry confirms to the newspaper that a Swede has been arrested in Thailand.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware that a Swedish citizen from Norrland was detained in Thailand in July,” writes Mats Samuelsson, press communicator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the newspaper.
The Foreign Ministry does not want to comment on the case further.
