Anyone traveling from Arlanda Airport this summer can expect significantly shorter queue times than last year, when the situation was chaotic. Swedavia’s CEO Jonas Abrahamsson promises that in an interview with Dagens Nyheter.

In the summer of 2022, anyone flying from Arlanda could be forced to wait for several hours. That won’t be the case this year.

– When there is high pressure, in the mornings for example, there will be queues in basically all parts of the airport. Then you have to be prepared to queue for up to half an hour. It is miles away from a year ago, says Jonas Abrahamsson to the newspaper.

The reasons behind the statement are several and have to do with, among other things, that the staffing in the security control must be under control. In addition, the number of passages is increasing at the same time that the baggage control technology has been modernized.
