They strangled and threatened to kill their landlord – deported

After meeting through a church, the woman offered the homeless man a room with her in the tenement a few miles north of Stockholm. The newspaper Home and Rentwho was the first to report on the case, writes that the relationship between the people was initially described as a mother and son relationship.

But that changed completely – within six months.

Threatened the landlord and took strangleholds

The man, who is 35 years old, turns out to have an alcohol problem and becomes aggressive when he drinks. When he comes home drunk one day, he hits the woman with his open hand and threatens to kill her. The woman then calls the police from a neighbor and the man disappears, but reappears two days later.

A few months later, the resident male becomes aggressive again. This time he goes on the attack by squeezing the woman’s neck with both hands while saying that “I can kill you” and “when the police come it will be over”.

After another aggressive situation with the man, the woman asks a friend to alert the police.

Sentenced to prison and deportation

The man admits that he can behave rudely when drunk, but denies that he abused the woman. Despite that, he is sentenced to three months in prison for three counts of assault and two counts of unlawful threats. After that he will be deported.

The man has appealed the expulsion to the Supreme Court, which sees no reason to grant leave to appeal. Thus, the decision on deportation stands.
