Five national teams in addition to Sweden – Finland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany – participate in the tournament, which is part of the Euro Hockey Tour.
SVT has already broadcast the women’s ice hockey WC, and now there will be even more Damkronorna on SVT.
– We are happy that we can now produce and broadcast this tournament, so that our audience can see more of the national hockey team. It is also pleasing that the matches from the tournament will be shown in several of the other participating countries, we hope that in the future we will be able to broadcast more tournaments from the Euro Hockey Tour, says sports director at SVT, Max Bursell.
The Swedish premiere will be against Germany on December 13, and a total of four Swedish matches will be broadcast on SVT.
