A video greeting from “Svennis” is highly coveted.
Now the icon says that a large part of the sum he withdraws goes directly to charity.
– I donate a lot, he says.

Sven-Göran Eriksson is without a doubt one of Sweden’s greatest coaches. Not many in the industry have achieved the same merits as the Swedish icon, and his efforts in the football world are historic.

Mighty career

He won the UEFA Cup with IFK Gothenburg in the early 80’s, and then carried it to several different major European clubs. Among other things, he led Benfica to two league titles, but the biggest merit was when “Svennis” broke Lazio’s 26-year-long Serie A drought, and took the club’s first series victory since 1974.

“Svennis” has since become England’s first foreign national team captain ever, and has led several different national teams since the turn of the millennium. Today he has taken a big step back and works as an advisor to Karlstad Football.

In addition, he is also active on the site “Memmo” where you can buy video greetings from the icon. He has been there for just over a year, and tells himself to Göteborgs-Posten that he has made around a thousand pieces in total.

Beautiful gesture

– It is probably an average of two, three a day. I think I have made a thousand pieces in total. It’s not burdensome at all, it only takes a few minutes. And then you are born in vain, perhaps. So it’s funny that you’re still remembered. It’s nice, says “Svennis” to the newspaper.

A video greeting from Svennis costs SEK 500 each, and a large part of the income goes directly into his pocket. Easily calculated, he has thus withdrawn around SEK 300,000, but he says that he donates a lot to charity.

– Yes, but I donate a lot to various organizations such as MSF and the Red Cross. This is not something I stand and fall with, but it’s a fun thing, says the icon.
