US star gymnast Simone Biles won her first competition right after her comeback. Biles has not yet confirmed her participation in next year’s Paris Olympics.
Multiple Olympic champion in balance beam gymnastics Simone Biles returned triumphantly from his two-year hiatus. Biles, 26, took part in the US Classic on Saturday and ended it standing on the highest podium.
Biles competed in all four events with a combined score of 59.100 points. The best points of the competition came from the beam, vault and jump. Biles had the best result of the competition, third in the individual jockeys.
– This feels really good, especially after everything that has happened during the previous year. I came back and did what I had been training for, Biles said with satisfaction.
Biles has opened up to the public about her personal difficulties and problems with, among other things, her mental health. He took a break from sports at least because he suffered from the twisties phenomenon, where the athlete’s body does not understand its position in rotating movements.

– I’m still going to continue going to therapy and I’m going to put myself first, Biles said to NBC after the win.
– This time I want to do everything only for myself. Now that I’m taking my first steps into competing again, I believe in myself a little more.
Before Saturday, Biles’ most recent competition was at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics. In Tokyo, Biles dropped out of the quad and missed the beam finals except for the beam, where she won bronze.

Biles has a total of 32 Olympic and World Cup medals. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she won four gold medals – team competition, quadruple, vault and vault – and a bronze on the beam.
The tough US Classic competition is considered a kind of warm-up. The US championships will be held in late August, the sport’s world championships are scheduled for October, and the Paris Olympics are less than a year away.
With her competitive performance, Biles claims a place in the US championships.
Biles does not want to go too far in her thoughts and says that it is important to enjoy even small victories.
– I knew that I could come back to compete so that I still have chances of success, Biles told the Guardian.
– At the moment, it’s just about my health and the functionality of my body. Everything is fine right now.
Biles has yet to officially announce whether she will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. In any case, his return can be seen as a positive sign.
