Super talent Lucas Raymond’s big show tonight – total scoring success in the entire NHL’s hottest chain

Lucas Raymond’s start to the season has been cautious.
But last night the Swede exploded.
The super talent accounted for three points – in the entire NHL’s hottest chain right now.

Lucas Raymond is in his third season in the NHL, and this year will be more exciting than before. The Detroit Red Wings, after a few tough years without the playoffs, have put together a strong group, and the start of the season has been nothing short of mighty impressive. It was indeed a loss for the Red Wings in the opener against the New Jersey Devils, but after that it has been full speed ahead.

The Swede’s huge success

On Sunday night, the Red Wings beat the Calgary Flames 6-2, marking the team’s fifth straight victory. So, after the premiership loss, there have only been victories. And much can be thanked for the entire NHL’s hottest chain right now. However, Lucas Raymond had had a slow start to the season. He scored in the first game of the year, but after that, in five games played, there had been a total of only two points.

But last night it really took off for the Swedish super talent, who plays with Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Larkin, who after the night’s overrun are now first and second in the NHL’s scoring. Alex DeBrincat had a hat trick in the 6-2 win, and Dylan Larkin was 1+1. But it was also a breakthrough for Lucas Raymond. He had an assist on all of DeBrincat’s goals, and with three assists, Raymond has now accounted for five points in six games played.

Total Swedish dominance

In Detroit, it is now starting to hope that this is the beginning of a new era of greatness, and the hockey-crazy city is enjoying the start, where the young squad has thus played home five straight victories.

– Admittedly, it’s only six games… But a streak becomes more noticeable when it’s at the beginning of a season, says coach Derek Lalonde.

Alex DeBrincat is new to Detroit for the season, coming over from the Ottawa Senators over the summer. He has started the season incomparably well and after the hat-trick last night, he is now listed for eight goals and a total of twelve points in six games played. Fourth and fifth in the NHL’s scoring league we find, otherwise, Elias Pettersson and William Nylander, with ten and nine points respectively in five games played. New Jersey Devils Swede Jesper Bratt is also on the top ten list.
