An attempt was made to keep The Good Doctor alive as a brand as early as the 6th season. A spin-off series called was planned The Good Lawyer, which was supposed to originate from a backdoor pilot, meaning it was set up in a regular episode of the main series. However, after the Hollywood double strike in 2023, ABC decided against ordering the spin-off.
When does The Good Doctor season 7 start?
It will be a while before we walk through the doors of San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital one last time. The Good Doctor season 7 starts on February 20, 2024 in the USA on ABC. It could take a little longer until the episodes come to Germany.
