Stolen vehicle investigation leads to arrest

A vehicle was reportedly taken from a parking lot on King Street in Chatham on Saturday morning.

Chatham-Kent police said the owner was able to utilize the GPS in the vehicle, which showed it at a Colborne Street residence in Chatham.

Police attended the address and located the vehicle, which was returned to the owner. A 32-year-old Chatham man was charged with theft and possession of stolen property over $5,000. He was released with a short date.

Man faces multiple charges

On Saturday evening, police were investigating a break and enter at a residence on Riverview Drive in Chatham.

Police found a man who was currently wanted. The man allowed police to enter his residence while he retrieved his sweater. While officers were inside, police observed the alleged stolen property from the break and enter at the back door.

The 29-year-old Chatham man was arrested on the warrant and additionally charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was released with a short date.

Warrant arrests

Police located a woman on Sarah Crescent in Chatham on Saturday night who had three warrants for her arrest.

The 31-year-old Chatham women were arrested and held for bail.

In a separate matter, police conducted a traffic stop early Sunday on Erieau Road outside of Erieau. Investigation revealed the driver was currently wanted.

The 21-year old Chatham woman was arrested and later released with a court date.
