Stina Nilsson’s words after the beautiful revenge that everyone loves – boyfriend Emil Nykvist’s fine tribute

Stina Nilsson has had a tough start to the season.
Now she finally got to fight back.
“You deserve it,” writes boyfriend Emil Nykvist on Instagram.

Stina Nilsson is the incredible cross-country skier turned biathlete. The career in the new sport has not gone perfectly, but the native of Värm continues to be a beloved athlete and cheered on by the Swedish people.

Nilsson’s season

It was in 2020 that Stina Nilsson announced that she would change sports. The first season she had to fight hard, but finally had to make her debut in the World Cup during the end of the season in Östersund. The following season was a step forward, and Stina took her first podium in the World Cup.

Last season, to the chagrin of many, was a step backwards for the biathlete, and she alternated between the World Cup and the lower IBU Cup. That’s how it has looked this season as well. Nilsson started in the World Cup but was pushed to the IBU Cup after worse results.

Stina is celebrated

Now the 30-year-old has had his revenge. In this weekend’s competitions in the IBU Cup, there was a seventh place in the sprint and a sixth place in the mass start. But above all, Stina came third in the chase start of 10 kilometers. It is her first podium in a long time, and was certainly a long-awaited one.
“Today’s race was a really long-awaited little Christmas present,” writes Nilsson under a picture on Instagram about the third place.

Now the biathlete is praised a lot.
“You, if anyone, really deserve it,” comments the partner Emil Nykvist.
“But congratulations Stina! Never worried about your capacity but nice that you got a reward now for all the work you put in!”, writes a supporter in the comment field.
“Congratulations best Stina. Nice to be able to snap all the whining spikes on the nose,” writes another.
“Congratulations!!” comments the biathlon colleague Lynn Persson.
“Congratulations on the bronze medal Stina. So fun! Now it turns…”, writes a follower.
