It’s the meaning of Fifth Edition of the States General of Export which will be held on 29 and 30 September in Alba at the Pietro Ferrero Research Centerorganized by Italian Export Forum, chaired by Lorenzo Zurino, first Think tank specifically dedicated to the discussion and comparison on exports and Made in Italy which brings together 2067 companies, institutions and associations for a total of approximately 200 billion euros in turnover. The Forum’s objectives are to improve knowledge of opportunities in European and international markets, facilitate the exchange of ideas and points of view, contribute to Italian economic growth, demonstrate the potential of our country and open up new business opportunities.

The event was presented today in Rome at the Chamber of Deputies in a press conference in which they participated Ilaria Cavo, Vice President of the Productive Activities Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Carlo BoMayor of the City of Alba, Lorenzo Zurino, President of the Italian Export Forum, Ettore PrandiniNational President of Coldiretti, Andrea Benetton, President of Maccarese Spa Società Agricola Benefit and Cirio Società Agricola Srl, Eduardo Umberto Teodorani FabbriChairman ANIVAD Consulting Limited.

“Export and Made in Italy – he declared Zurino – are two fundamental elements for the Italian economy which first and foremost require attention, dissemination of skills and a practical approach to the challenges that international markets pose to us. Alba will be a fundamental moment to lay the foundations of a control room that brings together all the talents and skills that deal with exports and foreign trade in Italy and to put an economic sector worth over a third at the center of the political agenda. of the national GDP”.

“Exports and Made in Italy have held up despite a difficult economic situation and confirm a great excellence and a dimension that we must continue to support. In this sense, we worked with the fact-finding investigation on the Made in Italy bill of forthcoming discussion and which means funds, activities, incentives for companies operating on international markets and a three-year plan for the promotion of Made in Italy – he stated Cable –. Alba will be a very intense two days which will provide ideas for new reflections as happened in previous editions of the States General of Export”.

“To support the growth trend of national food and wine, we now need to act on Italy’s structural delays and unlock all the infrastructures that would improve connections between the South and North of the country, but also with the rest of the world by sea and high-speed rail. speed, with a network of hubs made up of airports, trains and cargo” underlines the president of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini in highlighting the importance of “seizing the opportunity of the Pnrr to modernize national logistics which every year represents a detriment for our country in terms of fewer export opportunities. But it is also important to work on internationalization to support companies that they want to conquer new markets and strengthen consolidated ones by enhancing the strategic role of Ice and with the support of embassies. The objective – concludes Prandini – is to bring the annual value of agri-food exports from 60.7 billion in 2022 to 100 billion in 2030 taking away space from Italian sounding”.

“It is an honor – said the mayor of Alba Carlo Bo – to be able to welcome in our city this important event dedicated to exports, a central theme in the economy of our territory, home to a multinational such as Ferrero and many companies that work in close contact with abroad, starting from our wine companies. President Zurino, whom I thank for the visit, illustrated to me the parterre of experts and prestigious speakers who will speak in the capital of the Langhe and for this reason I invite our socio- economical to participate. It will be an interesting opportunity for discussion.”

“Agenda 2030 for sustainable development in strong contrast with the new frontiers and proposals that come from all over the globe, most recently the open debate on synthetic food. The agro-industrial Made in Italy is constantly threatened by a system, the international one linked to multinationals , which has great difficulty in dealing with the quality of the Bel Paese. A system that would like to erase territorial identities with the unbecoming propaganda linked to the incompatibility of agriculture with the environment – he stated Andrea Benetton, President of Maccarese Spa Società Agricola Benefit and Cirio Società Agricola Srl –. Italy and Made in Italy are thriving but tired. It is also in these moments, however, that our country expresses new ways of interpreting and producing excellence”.

“The States General of Export are an event of great significance for the productive world which requires these moments of discussion, in-depth analysis and knowledge linked to a sector which has proven to be very resilient and which maintains great potential despite a very complicated international scenario – he has declared Eduardo Teodorani Fabbri, Chairman ANIVAD Consulting Limited –. Defending and supporting Made in Italy today more than ever must be a priority for the entire country system and a commitment that requires a strong synergy between the political world, the production world, trade associations and the academic world”.
