Star Wars stories from a shoot

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away: it is a time of civil war, the Rebels have won their first victory over the evil galactic empire »!You may have, no doubt, even recognized the very first sentences of the Star Wars credits, Star Wars in French, episode IV, “A New Hope”. The very first film in the franchise by George Lucas which was released on American screens in May 1977 and was a huge hit.

This film has since enriched its creator, its designers, actors and producers and continues to nourish a branched universe now under the Disney umbrella.

And yet, this film almost never saw the light of day. The filming itself was a true odyssey, masterfully recounted in a graphic novel: Lucas Warspublished by Deman éditions.

To talk about it, we welcome its authors, the screenwriter Laurent Hopman and the designer Renaud Roche.

Also showing in our cinema: the journal du 7th art, and a trip to Turkey with our correspondent Anne Andlauer to talk about a series “Red Buttons” which attracts the wrath of those in power by featuring Muslim brotherhoods.
